1. Organization/project must be consistent with our overall Mission guidelines:
Our Valley Pres Mission committee has as its focus a combination of social justice projects (such as clean water, girls' education, housing through Habitat for Humanity, helping at-risk youth overcome their challenges) and mercy projects (such as immediate food, shelter, clothing, care for the sick)
Athletic events that support medical programs (like MS and Cancer research) are acceptable recipients if the VPC member is actively involved in the event (preferably doing the walk/run/ride, but also otherwise hands-on involved in the event). Donations to these events should be no more than $100.
2. The VPC member requesting the funding must themselves support the organization, either in a hands-on capacity or through financial contributions.
3. Very rarely do we make gifts to individuals working with para-church organizations or to organizations that fall outside our mission guidelines. These occasional gifts are one-time grants, and are only made when the request comes through a VPC member/sponsor.
4. Funding will be in the range of $50 - $200, at the discretion of the Mission Chair. At the end of the fiscal year, any unused funds will be rolled into the general "unallocated" funds to be distributed using different guidelines.
